Associate Publishers with LLP are independent contractors (1099) who run their own businesses and daily schedule. There is no up front cost associated with this position. APs work remotely managing all aspects of the advertising sales, as well as the communities' brands. Their primary responsibility is advertising sales and they are offered a commission-based income, which grows as they grow their book of business.
Local Life Publishing handles all the pieces of putting the publication together: printing, accounting, design, production, distribution, content, photography. Associate Publishers may hire a sales team to work with them to grow the revenue. Associate Publishers have creative input in the look and content of their magazine and are responsible for signing off on each issue before it goes to press.
Coordinate editorial content and offer story ideas that are pertinent to the issue months. Become the "face" of the local magazine in the market by working with community leaders to craft partnerships and sponsorships to increase magazine revenue beyond advertising sales. Launch additional products within the same market (maps, guides, etc..). Manage the Facebook page for the magazine, as well as post articles, events or blog posts to the magazine's web site.
